Coast Runner CR-1

The CR-1 is a three-axis desktop CNC mill developed by Coast Runner, a company with 10 years of experience in developing desktop CNC technology.

We have taken all the best features from small-scale CNC machines and combined them into a single machine. The CR-1 is:

  • Capable of milling a wide range of materials, including wood, plastic, aluminum, and even steel and titanium
  • Capable of holding to a thousandth of an inch in precision
  • Highly accurate and consistent due to automatic leveling and electrical probing / indexing
  • Open source and general purpose, utilizing standard G-code, ER-11 collets and commercially available tools
  • Small and light enough at 42lbs to move around your workshop
  • Spacious with a work volume of 4” (X) 10” (Y) x 3” (Z)
  • Bundled with our easy to use CRWrite software and educational platform, making it a great mill for newer CNC users
  • Supported by CoastCAD, the world’s first file sharing / knowledge distribution community for CNC
